Oh, I weren't sure about the meaning of this three words :)

Ok, I now got (an unknown by windoze): 'home_deltafox_vodafone.repo'

I better ask before I reboot Suse yet, will I find deltafox-vmc within this
310 byte '.repo' file I just got ?

Yes, with Gnome.
(KDE reported errors and failed to install, I could have done wrong)

I found Firefox, but without a internet connection it wont do anything.

Yeah I'll google for vodafone with my XP yet to get a copy, even I'm
afraid it wont 'install' a working Linux variant while XP got control.

My problem is that I can't use Firefox as long Suse wont be able to
use the HUAWAI-modem even I know the numbers to configure it.
So I may need to detour with winXP to get the modem work.

And I forgot to mention that I have a fix rate contract (3GB/month)
rather than time-limited sim-cards.

Google shows me a lot of howto but I failed to figure a download yet.
I'd appeciate any help,

This tells me you're not quite there yet :)
KDE should install just fine. Done it already several times on different
machines.

But I guess Gnome is fine although I din't like it myself :)

If you don't have Internet connection you can't install anything from
there, can you?

Use windows to look for instructions how to use software called wvdial.
Install wvdial, I think it's on the DVD.

Configure it to connect to The Internet.
The only thing you need to do is edit a file called /etc/wvdial.conf.

Once you're there you may want to install vodafone.
But if it's only needed for connecting, you won't need it since you've
got wvdial working.

That's just fine. Then you won't need the sms function for this at all.

Try to install and configure wvdial.

I'll try lateron, after I learned a bit more about Linux ...
I might look quite ignorant, and in fact I'm still for now.
