Can you start it in safe mode. If yes post back



Start > Run > outlook.exe /resetnavpane

(notice the space between outlook.exe and /resetnavpane)

Go to the page below. Follow instructions. Be aware that the procedure can
take a long time if
1) the mail data file is large
2) the pc is using low resources (slow pc or verly little ram memory)

That is kind of dumb at this time to use that KB you posted . If the OP opens
Outlook with the Safe Switch which will be most probable then it is a 3rd party Add
In that would be causing the issue. This can be corrected and the panic switch
should not be pulled yet
