Hi

I have a document with a TOC and changed the page number so that the first
page of the document would be page one. In the footer I have it state page #
of number of pages, the first number is correct with the change, but the
second number still includes the table of content page in its count. How do
I change it the total page count?

Thank-you!

Have a look at the following articles on how to have separate page numbering
in one document.
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NumberingFrontMatter.htm (for 2003 and
prior) or http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/front_matter_2007.htm.
Hope this helps

If the part of the document that begins on page 1 is all in one section, you
can substitute the SectionPages field for NumPages; press Alt+F9 to display
the field code, edit by hand, then Alt+F9 to toggle back and F9 to update.
