From: dennis.television@gmail.com on 8 Oct 2006 12:52 Hello, I'm Dennis, In this newsgroup I found an answer to a question about a problem with a VDP3108 (subj. Panasonic TX-21MD1C colour problem, Aug. 23 2003). I have a TX-21MD1F, about 9 years old, that had a power supply problem. I had it repaired (they replaced the high voltage transformer). After I got the TV back, it turned out that AV2 and AV3 had a lot of noise in the picture (looked like the video mixed with a non-tuned TV channel). AV1 was OK. The technician told me there were also problems with TV channels. The technician told me that the VDP3108A is defect and must be replaced. The IC should cost 66 Euro. Is this a proper price? What would a kit cost? My worry is that the VDP3108A (that what i wrote down from the IC, manufactured by ITT, don't know if there was any more information printed on the IC), is the old version and that if he replaces the IC without using the TZS9EK0021 kit, I'll have problems again and be charged for another repair once more. I have searched for a VDP3108A IC but have not been succesfull. Nor have I been able to find the kit. Could anyone advice me of a place where I can get them? Or would anyone still have any of those parts so I could buy them from you? I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks in advance. Dennis (Brussels, Belgium)
