ok, assuming that a bottle comes out of focus (a little to the right/left) is there any methodology that i can pursue to get the color of the base, because as you know the segmented area has a constant (X,Y) coordinates.

Yes. Just look in a smaller area that you know will always contain
the base. This is what my code did.
