From: Jim McCullars on 25 Sep 2007 15:54 Greetings: Had a hard drive on a Sun Fire 280R go bad and got a replacement from Sun. Although the system "seems" to be running fine, there are a lot of messages like this on the console: Sep 25 14:50:47 hotel picld[75]: Bad file number Sep 25 14:51:06 hotel picld[75]: Device DISK0 inserted Sep 25 14:51:06 hotel picld[75]: ERROR running psvc_hotplug_notifier_policy_0 on DISK0 (592312) It's logging these about every 20 seconds. What kind of problem does this indicate? We did not turn the machine off before inserting the replacement drive. Will cycling the power stop these errors? Thanks...
