Hi,

What is the proper command that a client can use to send an email using Postfix?  Searching through some old posts, I believe the postdrop command is not intended to be used by client software.  Is that correct? 

I have seen references to sendmail but I am not sure if it refers to a command or another email system.

You use the Postfix sendmail command.
