From: Archimedes Plutonium on 12 Apr 2010 14:15 Looks like I am the first physicist to notice that Physics has only one Natural fundamental speed, the speed of light, and that all other speeds are "local and situational." Except for when Tifft found redshift quantization. Now the Plutonium Atom Totality explains pi, and "e", and the fine- structure constant, and the proton to electron mass ratio as these: 22 subshells in 7 shells 19 occupied subshells in 7 shells 22 / (22/7)^7 6 (22/7)^5 which is the 5f6 energy level So the Plutonium Atom Totality at the start gives the most important numbers in both physics and in mathematics, all four connected and interrelated. This is how any and every science works, and must work, where the questions are all answered by connected interrelated simple answers. The trouble with speed in Physics is that there is only one apparent Natural and fundamental speed, that of light. So there is no second speed that is fundamental to place in a ratio such as the proton to electron mass ratio. However, at the end of the 20th century rose a keen research study by Tifft measuring redshift which is basically galaxy speeds. He found a quantization, focused around 72 km/sec. Now I have been looking to see a list of the quantization speeds, and so far have not found a complete list. Perhaps Halton Arp who is doing an excellent job in teaching this subject of speed quantization has a complete list. If he does, I would appreciate him posting it of such a complete list of quantizations. So far I have found these numbers: 220 km/sec 72 km/ sec with increments of 2.4 x 10^-4 increments of 1.24 x 10^-4 144 km/sec Earlier in this book, I predicted the neutrino rest-mass by using the idea that the only true fundamental particles are photon, proton, electron, and neutrino and that all the other particles in Nature are just basic addons of these four particles. That only the stable particles in Nature are fundamental and that anything with a mean decay life is a addon or secondary particle. The particles in physics are quantized. So the speeds in physics should be quantized also. So what would the increment of speed be? I propose that the Fine Structure Constant is the increment. Notice that in the Tifft research, the increments are showing up to be about 1.24 x 10^-4 And the fine structure constant of 1/137 = 0.0072 The electron to proton mass ratio is 1/1840 = 0.00054 Now the speed of light is 299,792 km/sec and if it was a increment of the Fine Structure Constant then the next lowest available speed would be 297,633 km/sec. Now does that make sense for the speed of the neutrino? Maybe and maybe not. It was recently reported that a faraway supernova was recorded of its neutrino influx relative to its photon influx. The report, if my memory serves me correctly, reported that the neutrinos came at the same time as the photons. Seems to me that if the neutrino speed was 297,633 km/sec, it would have lagged behind significantly to have noticed. But I think that there were those slower neutrinos, however, the faster neutrinos in flavor switching were the ones recorded in that supernova watch. I believe that neutrinos want to be "light" rather than be material rest mass objects, and the reason we have all these flavor neutrinos, is that their internal mechanisms "want to be light" rather than "want to be material matter." I also remember reading in that supernova watch was a delay time of incoming radiation. So that perhaps the "delayed or slow neutrinos" were mistaken for what was a normal delay in how the supernova evolves in its explosion. Supernova are not that common so we may have to wait before we get another one of these opportunities to measure the speed of neutrinos. And what I would like to have is all the recorded Tifft speeds to see if the Fine Structure Constant is behind all those numbers.
