I cannot find any documents or help file on function "qtr2ann", which
is likely to transform quarters into annuals for date-format data.
Could someone explain the input and output for this function please?

Hi Danmo, qtr2ann.m is not a Mathworks' function, object, or method. A quick search of the file exchange does not show that file on the exchange. Perhaps someone sharing a MATLAB installation with you wrote the function, or downloaded it from somewhere else.
