Sorry, it's the same one Frank points to in this thread from
sysinternals.

Apparently not but check the website.

You may well ask, Andy, but I wish you hadn't.

I've got Regcompact installed on my 98SE box. I got it from
dwerner.xoasis.com, which won't open.

Regcompact.Net from your link says it won't work on 9X.

But from majorgeeks

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=465

it says Regcompact.net v1.8, apparently the same as your link, is
authored by D Werner, the same as what wrote mine.

I can tell you from the screenshots that it is NOT the same prog, but it
has the same icon.

I have a couple of cans of lager in the fridge that are calling me, so
I'll leave you to figure it out.....

Try http://www.bookcase.com/library/software/win9x.util.undef.html

The readme says "RegCompact is Shareware."

The homepage link on that link goes nowhere either

Following the payment link brought this up:

"This product has been deleted from the RegSoft.com system and is no longer
available for purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have
caused you."

https://www.regsoft.net/regsoft/vieworderpage.php3?productid=34532

So I guess it's available, and 9X users should grab it while it's around.

It seems to work OK, (or at least it does no damage!) on my box ;-)
