Dear Debora,

You described, that the EMG signal has a frequency between 20 and 500 Hz. If this signal is turned on and off, e.g. if you do not measure a isometrical load, there will be a signal with a smaller frequency, of course.
So I'm still not convinced, that these parts of the signal should by removed at all.
