I'm now ready to remove Exchange 2000 from the user account forest, but I'm curious as to exactly what the "removeorg" switch does, specifically if it makes any changes to the Schema? From articles I've read it seems that /removeorg just removes Exchange from the Configuration container of AD, is this correct or will the schema also be modified? We have applications which use the Ext Attributes attached to mailbox-enabled accounts and I'm worried that these might be affected.

As I understand it, that operation removes the Exchange organization from the Configuration naming context.
