From: leo nidas on 9 Jul 2010 04:11 Hi there, I was just checking out the normfit with the censoring option whici is really interesting. I am trying to think of a setting that one would want to fit a distribution wich is not necessary positively supported (like the normal) to a censored sample (with random right censoring). Censoring is taking place usually to survival analysis (the time to event variable is censored) or reliability. Can anyone describe me a scenario or provide some literature with an application with a variable that is subject to random right censoring and can also take negative values? I think this would be interesting. Thanx in advance for any answers!! |
