Hi,

We have a network of windows 2003 server and win xp clients using roaming
profiles

I have upgraded 2 clients to win7 and on both I get a error with the roaming
profile.

Somehow, Win 7 doesnt pick up the roaming profile.

This is the error I get:

"Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a
temporary profile.
Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off."

So it logs me in using a temporary profile.

How do I resolve this?

Hello biren,

Did you migrate the profiles for Windows 7 according to:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947025

With Windows Vista the new profileversion2 started and needs some changes.
