If anyone figures this out, I'd like to hear as well. All I keep seeing in the various discussions are the same answers that don't apply. I think a macro could do it, but the sortfield would have to automatically update based on the selected data, i.e. it would always sort on the same column(s), but the row numbers would update. Anyone want to volunteer the appropriate macro text?

Repeat Sort in Excel 2007
In Excel 2003 you can repeat sort parameters for different sections of a
worksheet by using the F4 function key after performing your 1st sort, but I
can't get that to work in Excel 2007. Anyone know if there is a way to "fix"
that or is there an alternate way to do this in 2007?

I frequently have to sort many different sections within one worksheet. The
sorts are always based off of the same columns and require the same
parameters (i.e. Sort range by column C from low to high and column J from
high to low), but the number of rows included change for each grouping. In
2003, I could highlight the rows and hit "F4" to repeat this.

Thanks for any ideas.

Hi Kevin

If you highlight any cell in your list and choose Insert tab>Table>OK.
Then you will have a table with dropdown arrows in each of the headers.
Click any dropdown and choose Sort A>Z or Z>A. the whole table is
elected automatically and will follow the sort the have selected for
each column in turn.

Roger, thanks for the Table tip, but my situation is a bit unique. I have to
resort multiple sections in a workbook with completely new data each time and
it doesn't always line up the same way. Also, I need to be able to sort by
at least 2 or 3 columns each time (one column is sales, but the other is a
coding system that take priority over sales yet has numbers that
repeat...there may be several items with a "3" for instance).

Any other ideas? Or, any way to get the "F4" function key to work with
sorting in 2007 like it does in 2003?

Thanks,
Kevin
