From: Russ (SBITS.Biz) [SBS-MVP] on 26 Jun 2010 13:53 Charlie, I didn't you you could do that? When I tried to install Office 2010 64bit on a 64win7 that had office 2007 32bit, I could never get it to install I think it had an Issue on my other office 32bit and Wanted me to remove them first? Sorry I didn't troubleshoot it, I just installed the 32bit version and left it. for one reason I didn't want to uninstall Frontpage (Yes I still use it.) I've heard other issues with Outlook Plugins and I use the PayPal plugin a lot along with some others that I don't think will work. I'm just going safe on Office 2010 32bit because of the issues I've seen and I know it works Russ -- Russell Grover - SBITS.Biz [SBS-MVP] MCP, MCPS, MCNPS, SBSC Remote Small Business Server/Computer Support - www.SBITS.Biz BPOS - Microsoft Online Services - www.BPOSMadeEasy.com Easy Redirect to Microsoft's New SBS Public Forum - www.SBSRepair.com "Charlie Russel - MVP" <Charlie(a)mvKILLALLSPAMMERSps.org> wrote in message news:72BD3C2D-53EC-4143-AB51-477CCB91004A(a)microsoft.com... > You can't have both on the same box, from what I understand. From: Charlie Russel - MVP on 27 Jun 2010 09:09 Russ -- that's what I said, I think. You can't have both on the same computer. But what I was proposing was a VM of Win7 that had the 64-bit version on it. Probably as a VDI scenario to let me deploy as my desktop when I want a 64-bit version of Office. As for add-ins to Office? Don't use any that I can think of except the ones that let OneNote connect to Outlook and Word, and if I have all as 64-bit, that should work, I hope. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/russel "Russ (SBITS.Biz) [SBS-MVP]" <russ(a)REMOVETHIS.sbits.biz> wrote in message news:9FAE36E6-7CB9-459A-8C5C-8F35182B3864(a)microsoft.com... > Charlie, I didn't you you could do that? > > When I tried to install Office 2010 64bit on a 64win7 that had office 2007 > 32bit, > I could never get it to install > > I think it had an Issue on my other office 32bit > and Wanted me to remove them first? > > Sorry I didn't troubleshoot it, I just installed the 32bit version and > left it. > for one reason I didn't want to uninstall Frontpage (Yes I still use it.) > > I've heard other issues with Outlook Plugins > and I use the PayPal plugin a lot along with some others that I don't > think will work. > > I'm just going safe on Office 2010 32bit because of the issues I've seen > and I know it works > Russ > > -- > Russell Grover - SBITS.Biz [SBS-MVP] > MCP, MCPS, MCNPS, SBSC > Remote Small Business Server/Computer Support - www.SBITS.Biz > BPOS - Microsoft Online Services - www.BPOSMadeEasy.com > Easy Redirect to Microsoft's New SBS Public Forum - www.SBSRepair.com > > "Charlie Russel - MVP" <Charlie(a)mvKILLALLSPAMMERSps.org> wrote in message > news:72BD3C2D-53EC-4143-AB51-477CCB91004A(a)microsoft.com... >> You can't have both on the same box, from what I understand.
