Have you tried to uninstall using the Canon 'deldrv.exe' program? PerL

Sounds like you need to do a Manual delete of all of the Canon driver files. Unplug the USB cable to the scanner. First run the Canon uninstall utility. It is on the original Canon Setup CD, when you run Setup.exe, one of the choices is uninstall the Canon software. Open Device Manager and remove your Canon Scanner if you find one or more. Start>Run. Type regedit<Enter> Search regedit for any scangear entries. Backup and then delete them. Look in \Windows\Twain_32 for any left over Canon scanner driver left behind, Delete them. Reboot the computer. Install the Canon Software from the CD. Reboot the computer. Plug in the scanner. XP should find new hardware and install the driver. Good luck. -- CSM1 http://www.carlmcmillan.com --
