Any suggestions? maybe the most simple explanation is that all is well: somebody has isolated the first 10 pages in separate sections and told Word that in fact each section starts the numbering with "2." if you are on the fith page and insert Word field braces (CTRL-F9) and enter PAGE, then F9 (to update the field), what does it show?
