From: polishedball on 2 Mar 2010 23:59 Opening it up and adding jiffydos rom kernal is the way to go. The command strings are small, hot keys for directory and loads. Might want to look into it as the benefits are enormous. Atleast IMO pick up the chip so you'll have it if you place an order. > > Ok then, daughterboard it is. So, I should open it anyway to see if it doesn't already have it. Shoot, I may as well install the SD thing inside then. I'm just a bit leary being I haven't very much Commodore experience, yeah, not much, like none. Dang, now I don't know what I want to do. I know, I will put in the JiffyDOS, and use the uIEC-SD thing outside. Yeah, that's it. So, so far I need the JiffyDOS kernal ROM, the uIEC-SD with the daughtercard. Bill

Don't worry about it, Bill. You can teach us a thing or two about the Apple II. :) Truly, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group http://videocam.net.au/fcug The Other Group of Amigoids http://www.calweb.com/~rabel1/ Southern California Commodore & Amiga Network http://www.sccaners.org

I've only been learning the Apple II since 2002, but I have acquired quite a bit of knowledge in that amount of time. My main heart-throb back in the day was Atari. Bill

Judging from your posts on comp.sys.apple2, I'd figured you for a long-time veteran...
