Good day guys. I am testing my PIC whether it can send binary data to MATLAB. Last night, I did this again and again, but one time I found out that even if the power supply for my PIC and MAX232 is off, that's the time that when I run my "receive" in MATLAB I can receive "bitsavalaible" that is a factor of 8 and data that is not the same as my transmitted data. And when I "on" the supply, I matlab receive zero bits. I set the baudrate of the PIC and matlab to be 9600, LF an 1 stop bit. Can somebody explain me further about this problem? Sooner, I will use my PIC to send digital output of the ADC of my PIC for graphing. Sample m-files would help me a lot.
