From: Echo S on 16 Nov 2005 16:33 This is the "garfield-n-odie special" response -- it seems to resolve a lot of these "got the slows" problems. From: UBfoolin on 16 Nov 2005 21:10 Thanks for the idea. I do know about this issue and have already done so. It did not change the problem. I've also turned off the "Automatically search for network folders" option in Explorer's Folder options. Again, why is this happening ONLY to Microsoft programs? Can there be some registry corruption or orphaned link? Thanks again, Dan "Echo S" wrote: > This is the "garfield-n-odie special" response -- it seems to resolve a lot > of these "got the slows" problems. > > "garfield-n-odie" <garfieldnodie(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:e5woAGi6FHA.2364(a)TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... > > Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop, > > left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped > > drives that are not currently available. > > -- > Echo [MS PPT MVP] > http://www.echosvoice.com >
From: Echo S on 16 Nov 2005 21:54 Well, you don't have Norton, but what antivirus program *do* you have? I'd suspect it. -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com "UBfoolin" <UBfoolin(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:1D613BB3-8A0F-4490-99ED-5DD79B3A66F3(a)microsoft.com... > Thanks for the idea. From: UBfoolin on 16 Nov 2005 23:16 I am not running ANY antivirus program at this point! Dan "Echo S" wrote: > Well, you don't have Norton, but what antivirus program *do* you have? I'd > suspect it. > > -- > Echo [MS PPT MVP] > http://www.echosvoice.com > >
From: Bob I on 17 Nov 2005 08:50 Do you have an attached accessable default printer? UBfoolin wrote: > Thanks for the idea. I do know about this issue and have already done so.
