From: Stefan Blom on 1 Jun 2010 14:13 How are you converting the document to PDF? There might be a limit of the conversion process. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP (Message posted via msnews.microsoft.com) "wambo" <wambo(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C1E55A9B-8BEA-455C-86A6-447A32C94CFB(a)microsoft.com... >I am working in a word document (word 2003) when I convert it to acrobat ver8. > the table of contents convert fine and works, however there some jpg. images > that links to bookmarks - they don't work. > > any help would be appreciated. > > thanls
From: Graham Mayor on 2 Jun 2010 01:23 I suspect it is a settings issue but briefly testing here, I found that images linked to bookmarks within the same document would link. Ensure that in the Adobe Conversion settings (from the add-in menu) that you have add bookmarks and add links checked on the Settings tab and that on the Bookmarks tab, you have convert Word bookmarks checked. Interestingly in Word 2007 if the PDF was created from a document in docx format, in-line images wouldn't link, but wrapped images would - this is probably attributable to the way Word 2007 docx format handles images differently from Word 2003 doc format. Whether this has been fixed in Acrobat 9 I cannot say. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> "wambo" <wambo(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C1E55A9B-8BEA-455C-86A6-447A32C94CFB(a)microsoft.com... >I am working in a word document (word 2003) when I convert it to acrobat >ver8. > the table of contents convert fine and works, however there some jpg. > images > that links to bookmarks - they don't work. > > any help would be appreciated. > > thanls
