Uh, did you ever? If so, what did you do to change the settings? If you just installed Windows you also need to install all the drivers for the motherboard, video, audio, network devices, etc. Go to the computer manufacturer's web site and find the appropriate drivers for your computer model and install them. DO NOT get any drivers from Microsoft Update. If you did get drivers from that site during an update, roll the drivers back. If you need further instructions to do that repost.
From: peter on 6 Nov 2009 22:28 have you looked under Device manager/sound video gamecontrollers??
