Type jpeg 2000 into the search box of this newsgroup and you'll find
261 previous such posts as yours.

In the Advanced Search -> All Time, I get 106 posts for "jpeg2000" and 55 for "jpeg 2000" (with a space). So I assume it is a typo and you meant: "161 previous such posts".

Interestingly, the replies are almost identical: "Don't ask me" and "don't ask Walter".

BTW. I'd expect, that the "advanced" search could find the term "jpeg2000", if I search for "jpeg" and "2000". "jpeg&2000" simply ignores the "&" as far as I can see. This is not the level of "advance" I expect from the "leading worldwide developer and supplier of technical computing software".

Kind regards, Jan

Actually, I told a little white lie............
I typed jpeg2000 into the search box and got 261 hits, but jpeg 2000
gave 294 hits.
BTW, this is in Google Groups.
