From: Allen Browne on 2 Feb 2010 07:06 Work your way through the list of items Tony has listed here: http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/performancefaq.htm It will be a little slower than when the records are on the local C: drive, but should not be heaps slower. -- Allen Browne - Microsoft MVP. From: Jeff Boyce on 2 Feb 2010 10:58 In addition to the lead Allen offers to Tony's list, here are two causes I ran into: 1) a network-based anti-virus program was updated and it "took offense" at how Access accessed the back-end data. 2) a front-end form that loads ALL the related records will take longer after you move the related records. If your form is designed this way (all records), consider modifying it to pull only a single record at a time. Good luck! From: Afsaneh on 3 Feb 2010 03:09 I think the BE's location is the problem which is "\\backupsrv\File_Service\Mali\nezarat-bar-khadamat\Amval". it dos'nt relate to the number of record it retrieves because it is a search form and dos'nt have any record source at first.am I right? I'd certainly follow up on the lead Allen provided. Yes, if the search form is unbound intially, and only bound after a search criteria is set...
