From: jhell on 26 May 2010 10:31 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Ports, Colin, ATM, I am looking over the possibility to make portsnap ignore ".cvs & ..svn" either by default or through the use of some flags or some config variable that could be set and I am looking for your input. I am maintaining a internal revision of ports tree that I wish to use portsnap to update for the obvious reasons. While using portsnap to update that tree that is already under version control with Subversion, portsnap proceeds to remove .svn and .cvs directories. I have also tried a few tests with manipulating the REFUSE line in the config file with no luck, just for clarity - maybe I missed something. Does anyone see a problem with ignoring the .svn & .cvs directories by default ? If there is concern with that being the default would you rather see a flag or maybe multiple flags, one for svn, cvs, etc... ? Or would you rather see a configuration variable whether it be environment or from the portsnap.conf ? To make sure that I am covering it all, is there other VC directories that you would like to see excluded while I am here ? Suggestions for the unforeseen questions are welcome. If you see a quick way of doing this and you are already familiar with the internals of portsnap I would appreciate greatly any feedback as where to start or patches for testing. At-A-Glance I have minimal knowledge of the internals of portsnap. >>jhell/INBOX 2>&1 Thanks for your time, - -- jhell -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.14 (FreeBSD) iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJL/TDgAAoJEJBXh4mJ2FR+JW0H/RCAfF1Ki5xKDpjIbiJGAJgk 3kVZds3sSxUAXyKXKw6r4OxEpkYQjKdCd6iIuoj54Ve0FRf6b7V6bgos0Cmmm3Rf 9WtpcTL7e4nGd1JSYjo42P2VPUqhXEX8ltB4VrdoaAZ4LE/tnZFQpj+Q6mDgWggL vVyaxwRUXZQ1ApztqPBfgtXTgnFZwFKy1B0uHS/LAIjWzMNg5i55Nl75/v0oPCXA xPYHPIKLayNXfQeBE44UDEfQeLTqTVoU92VrwkxHcWHOyrzJN7bAMUNkz0IGpLTV QOrK+M3zH+JopKsYUjREUsqlahYrjsoRhXzBAWsDlvlr2gldCAsQiDZ46TMUpOE= =p3L1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ freebsd-ports(a)freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-ports-unsubscribe(a)freebsd.org"
