From: MShapira on 7 Jan 2008 10:44 ever since I installed server2003 R2 stardard on my machine I have been receiving a BSOD every now and again when trying to logon to the server. Sometimes (like now!!) I am not able to logon even after many hard restrarts. Usually, after a bit of playing around, in (for no understandble reason) works again for a few weeks. If I don't try to logon, the server seems to be working just fine, (shares open, AD active etc.) When I try to logon I get the BSOD. with the following stop msg: 0X0000008e (0xc0000005 0x808bc9dd 0xb7c20914 0x00000000) I must admit, my hardware is not server built hardware, but a regular PC with strong processor and RAID Any ideas???
From: Meinolf Weber on 7 Jan 2008 14:37 Hello MShapira, Is there no other error message part only the 4 hex numbers? Something like this PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA? If possible post the complete error. From: MShapira on 8 Jan 2008 06:52 It seems that 4th string (of 0X0000008e (0xc0000005 0x808bc9dd 0xb7c20914 0x00000000)) varies from restrart to restart. (i wrote 0xb7c20914, but it changes) "Meinolf Weber" wrote: > Hello MShapira, > > Is there no other error message part only the 4 hex numbers? Something like > this PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA?
