It is an OK "Swiss army knife" tool for extracting archives of most archival formats. One downside that I note with this product is that it extracts the entire archive (no looking inside archive and extracting what you want) so if an archive is 2 GB or more, this is something you may or may not wish for. SimplyRAR on the other hand, will let you to look at the contents of the RAR package allowing you to extract only the files you need from it. IMHO, SimplyRAR is the better choice for RAR files on the Mac as it is specifically for RAR, light-weight (less than one MB download) and easy to use. As mentioned before, SimplyRAR can be DL'd from Majorgeeks: <http://mac.majorgeeks.com/download5712.html> HTH -- dee

This is the answer for my question. > SimplyRAR on the other hand, will let you to look at the contents of the > RAR package allowing you to extract only the files you need from it. > IMHO, SimplyRAR is the better choice for RAR files on the Mac as it is > specifically for RAR, light-weight (less than one MB download) and easy > to use. > As mentioned before, SimplyRAR can be DL'd from Majorgeeks: > <http://mac.majorgeeks.com/download5712.html> Thank you very much. TIA 7Zip? http://www.7-zip.org/ Apparently well recommended. Regards Gordon -- ox·y·mo·ron n. pl. ox·y·mo·ra or ox·y·mo·rons A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined, as in Microsoft Security, Microsoft Help and Microsoft Works.
