Bootable does not mean that you can log in, or that applications will
run. If a bootable system makes you happy, fine!

I expect a little more!

Does "boot -s" work?

Did the OP say that the system was unbootable? Or that he couldn't log in?
I must have missed that.

I tried to refresh the rpcbind service with this command

#svcadm disable svc:/network/rpc/bin:default
#svcadm enable svc:/network/rpc/bin:default

But I got this message :

svc.startd[7]:network/rpc/bind:default misconfigured : transitioned to
maintenance

I'm not going to try to sort through ALL of the drivel. I thought my
reply was relevant in the context of the message I actually replied to.

If not, sorry about that!

As usual, what the OP wrote is lost in the mists of time. Overly
vigorous trimming has not helped matters much.

Booting from the CD/DVD, as I suggested, gives you a minimal system that
should run on just about any supported hardware configuration and,
perhaps, unsupported configurations as well. You have some assurance
that the minimal O/S you have booted is free from viruses, worms, and
maybe even configuration errors.

It gives you root access to the system and any attached devices for
which drivers are available. It is an occasionally useful technique
but not the solution to every problem.
