hi ,

the synchronous model in the simpower systems can only be acted as the generator ................if i want to use that as an motor how can i use it what are the changes to be made in that machine.

Hello,
the models for the synchronous machines can be used for motor applications by applying a negative power to the power input port of the machine block. You might have to select 'Mechnical Power Pm' in the configuration tab of the block parameters dialog box if the machine block displayes 'w' on its input port. suggest opening the 'power_syncmachine' demo which gives a nice demonstration.
