If your Word window is narrow enough (or your screen resolution is low enough), the ribbon starts collapsing. The first things to go are the text labels, leaving just buttons. I think this is what's happening to you -- the three rightmost buttons in the Proofing group have no labels. The one in the third row, just to the right of the Translate button, should be the Word Count button.
