windows 7 client does not support the opening of a sharepoint sub site folder
in windows explorer. What is the fix?

In windows 7 it should be My computer -> right click -> map a network drive
-> connect to website .

I have same problem and we are using client certificate and it's not possible
to map folder from windows 7 !

Exactly the same problem appear in Vista in the beginning, then we got a
hotfix but for Windows 7 i canät find anything usefull for using client
certificate againste webfolder in Sahrepoint
