dear sir/madam,
Iam doing my project on " optical character recognition " but the problem was that to create templates for english alphabets in both UPPER CASE AND LOWER CASE please suggest me that how can i create templates please sir/madam

There are lots of character templates in the X11 fonts directory of any
unix-type system. You could probably restrict yourself to the bitmapped
fonts. Pick a set of fonts, pick a point size, use a program to extract
the bitmap for each desired character...
