From: JR on 3 Jan 2010 17:14 I googled for a freeware Internet Explorer "auto-refresh" add-on or plug-in that could be programmed to automatically re-load a web site address in IE at user-selectable regular or random intervals. I found a freeware program called "YRefresher" ver. 1.00 that is supposed to do that. I downloaded it and closed all other programs, installed it, re-started IE and the "YRefresher" toolbar didn't appear. So I opened the "Manage Add-Ons" feature in IE, and it shows "RefresherBand Class," "Control Name is not available," status "Enabled," and a really old file date of "8/3/2001 5:58 PM 1.0.0.1." This prompted me to google for a newer version: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&num=30&q=YRefresher+freeware It looks to me that the "YRefresher" program is obsolete. I'm running up-to-date Windows SP3 and IE 8 on a desktop computer that has had no other problems or incompatabilities. Does anyone have any alternative freeware suggestions for a stand-alone browser or plug-in that will perform this periodic web page "auto-refresh" function? -- JR
