I have asked my IP's tech support how to setup
killfiles, and I was told it is not possible.

There is also the insult to dignity of musatov
dumping his garbage on my posts.

I use the Pan newsreader and just block certain mail accounts. I makes
the list of sci.math much different to Google! Unlike some purists
here however I have no problem with using Google groups; doing it now
in fact (since I have otherwise blocked a number of authors on this
thread). If your ISP does not adequately support Usenet and changing
ISP is not practical then what choice is there?

As for MMM's posting practices; it is clear that he is beyond reason
or censure. My point is that there is nothing that can be said to him
on Usenet that will make any difference so why bother? Every response,
abusive or otherwise, simply validates MMM in his own mind as someone
with something to say. You have every right to be angry but I would
suggest you join every other regular here and never ever respond to
him.
