From: Michael Levin on 29 Jan 2010 11:27 I've been sent a compiled Matlab executable (for Windows) for which I'm told I need Compiler Runtime (MCR) version 7.10. Where do I download this? Mike
From: ImageAnalyst on 29 Jan 2010 11:43 You get it from the person who compiled your code. They have it and should have sent it to you. That's what I do with my end users.

But no doubt it's too big to email; surely Mathworks hosts these things somewhere for download to make this process easier?? Mike

The licensing terms of MCR require that you distribute the runtime to your authorized users. I do not know why Mathworks choose that licensing model, but it does, and having chosen it, it cannot make the runtime available -- and if you put the runtime up on a file sharing site, then you are responsible for ensuring that only authorized users are able to download it.
From: ImageAnalyst on 29 Jan 2010 12:30 If you can't find it on their web site, then I probably couldn't either. They can send up to 2 GB here: http://www.yousendit.com/ The MCRInstaller.exe is only about 174 MB so they can easily send it. Or they can mail it to you on a CD as a last resort.
