From: greenchile505 on 22 Sep 2006 12:49 You should search this group. We just had this discussion a few days ago. Very informative it was. In other words, use only Sandisk branded cards to play it safe.. I do not work for Sandisk, just know from personel experience they are better.
From: paul.estepan on 22 Sep 2006 15:09 Thats strange, i have panasonic, sandisk, viking and kingston, and all of them work fine on both my 49g+ and 50g. From: greenchile505 on 22 Sep 2006 15:34 > I also read about FAT32, FA16, will i have to configure that? Oh, on formatting.. the 49g+ has a "FORMA" function, that shows up in the "FILES" manager. I just use this funciton to format SD cards (I'm using with the 49g+). I would imagine this function, provided by HP engineers, puts the memory card in an acceptable state ready for use. However, some here might argue the benefits of formatting SD cards other than the HP default. Regards, Pal
