Recently the 2.6.32-3-686 kernel was posted to testing. When it was
added to the grub menu it was put *after* the 2.6.32-trunk-686 kernel.

Which is the newer kernel? If 2.6.32-3 is newer why was it placed in
second position?

Hey,

2.6.32-3 is newer, it is only placed in the #2 position due to "trunk"
being used in the name of the older kernel and messing things up.

There is a large thread about how to fix the ordering if you have a look.

Or just purge the trunk kernel.

Regards,

Angus.
