From: contentowner on 18 Dec 2009 14:15 This newsgroup scraped a response I made on a non-microsoft SQL forum. On the original site I quickly deleted the post, but somehow it was picked up in this newsgroup. Who do I contact about having my real name removed from that post? It looks like it was scraped in automatically, so I have no way of deleting or editing the post/thread. Who should I contact about content issues on in the SQL Server programming group? Thanks!
From: Aaron Bertrand on 18 Dec 2009 16:33 Have you considered talking to the owners of the "non-microsoft SQL forum"? Frankly once it's picked up by google at all, you can't edit it or get rid of it. It's more likely that the non-MS forum in which you posted is simply a web-based front-end to usenet groups. > On the original site I quickly deleted the post, but somehow > it was picked up in this newsgroup. From: contentowner on 18 Dec 2009 17:58 yes you are probably right that it was a front end for the group... either way I've confirmed that this is currently the only page on the net where the post exists the fact that it could spread further makes it even more urgent I get in contact with the right people to edit the page or take it down now. You don't understand. This is a newsnet group. The way newsnet works is that once your post makes it to the first server it is posted on, that server then propagates it to all other newsnet servers that host that same group. Your post is likely already in dozens of other servers all over the world. You're trying to unspill milk.
