From: pgartner on
i am installing a new windows 2008 sp2 server, on it have have
installed RRAS to provide inbound VPN (pptp) connection to the local
network. (the server is also a DC, file/print and exchange 2007 server
for about 30 users)

if we connect pptp then RDP to the RRAS server the session is fine,
screen refreshes are normal.

if we the try to RDP to the terminal server, or any of the xp/vista
desktops, the session is painfully slow.

the sessions work fine if you connect to the old RRAS server (windows
2003) and if you bring the machine in the office and hooked up to the
wired network is fine

so far i have disabled IPv6 , and applied the following

netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global chimney=disabled

tonight i'll apply the following and reboot
netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=highlyrestricted

any ideas as to where i should be looking?

Thanks
Paul
