I could assume you have Windows XP ______ Edition 32-bit, or you could use winver to leave no doubt. -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
From: PA Bear [MS MVP] on 7 Feb 2010 00:48 Are you referring to WinXP, Windows 2000, Office 2003, Office 2002 or...? Post the complete (verbatim) error message. What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)? Has a(another) Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on the computer (e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)? -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Client - since 2002 Beartrax59 wrote: > I show packs 1 through 3 in control panel and can't find programs to > reinstall service packs without getting an error or the downloads abort > for > 1 reason or another.
