Hi,

When I remote access login my Windows 2003 Server from my Windows XP, after
2 minutes, it will pop out a warning message and kick me out.
What do I need to adjust in the 2003 server so the remote access login from
my Windows XP will live longer than 2 minutes?
Thanks for help.

Jason

Hi,

If you are administrator on server you can start terminal services
configuration in administatirve tools and right click properties on
ceonnection -> sessions where you can tweak session limits

It doesn't work... I tried it a year ago on server 2003. I guess you have to
buy more CALs.

Samuel.

What do you mean it doesn't work?
If you using terminal services for remote login then this is where you
configure session limits (whereas in admin mode ony 2 connection can be
made and in terminal mode you buy ts cals.
If you are using VNC then you configure it in third party application
settings.
Also sessions limts are configured independetly of concurrent connections.

Yes, that option exists, and I can specify as many logins as I wish, but I
can't use them. And yes, I was an Enterprise Admin. Everytime I enabled 25
sessions, it accepted and all that, but reverted instantly. I was running a
computer training facility with 20 computers and 5 staff laptops, and I
wanted them all to use TS over a very handy ThinClient software. That's
where I found out I couldn't have multiple TS sessions. Purchasing CALs
solved the problem... though those things are expensive.
