From: Jonathan on 13 Dec 2006 11:10 Hello, What is the wss_adminservice.log? This is created on a machine with WSS V3 and MOSS 2007 installed. The file is located in C:\Documents and Settings\Default User\Local Settings\Temp. We found that with a specific instance of this file our server performance was severly degraded. Once the file was deleted; and recreated automatically the performance problem stopped. It appears that this file continues to grow, I am concerned that performance problems will arise and or disk space will become an issue. Here is an excerpt of the file....this pattern continues every couple of minutes. Can this loggin be turned off? 12/12/2006 8:50:16 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Setting IIS virtual directory path to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\WebServices\Root 12/12/2006 8:50:16 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Looking up IIS application pool id 'OfficeServerApplicationPool 12/12/2006 8:50:17 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Creating application 'Office Server Web Application in application pool 'OfficeServerApplicationPool 12/12/2006 8:50:18 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Setting script maps to '.asax,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll,5,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG;.asmx,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll,1,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG;.config,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll,5,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG 12/12/2006 8:50:19 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Committing virtual directory 'root 12/12/2006 8:50:20 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- IIS virtual directory 'root provisioned on web site 'Office Server Web Services 12/12/2006 8:50:21 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Medium -- Adding SYSCONSNDBOX\moss2007 to local group 2 12/12/2006 8:50:21 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Medium -- Adding SYSCONSNDBOX\moss2007 to local group 0 12/12/2006 8:50:22 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Verbose -- Looking up virtual directory container 'IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1720207907/root 12/12/2006 8:50:23 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Verbose -- Looking up virtual directory container 'IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1720207907/root 12/12/2006 8:50:24 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Setting IIS virtual directory path to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office Servers\12.0\WebServices\Root 12/12/2006 8:50:25 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Looking up IIS application pool id 'OfficeServerApplicationPool 12/12/2006 8:50:26 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Creating application 'Office Server Web Application in application pool 'OfficeServerApplicationPool 12/12/2006 8:50:27 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Setting script maps to '.asax,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll,5,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG;.asmx,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll,1,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG;.config,C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll,5,GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG 12/12/2006 8:50:28 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- Committing virtual directory 'root 12/12/2006 8:50:29 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=High -- IIS virtual directory 'root provisioned on web site 'Office Server Web Services 12/12/2006 8:50:29 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Medium -- Adding SYSCONSNDBOX\moss2007 to local group 2 12/12/2006 8:50:30 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Medium -- Adding SYSCONSNDBOX\moss2007 to local group 0 12/12/2006 8:50:32 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Verbose -- Looking up virtual directory container 'IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1720207907/root 12/12/2006 8:50:33 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Verbose -- Looking up virtual directory container 'IIS://localhost/W3SVC/1720207907/root 12/12/2006 8:50:34 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Medium -- Adding SYSCONSNDBOX\moss2007 to local group 2 12/12/2006 8:50:34 AM pid=132 thrdId=3 level=Medium -- Adding SYSCONSNDBOX\moss2007 to local group 0 Thanks Jonathan
