From: Andy Cap on 24 Jun 2010 05:25 I've been happily using Ben Bacarisse's routine for entering common text strings like email addresses for some time on an old Dell DT running Centos 5.5. I've now also got 64bit Centos 5.5 on a Dell Vostro running the identical routine. However on the laptop an @ is replaced with a q The routine enters the required string into any document using xte. I have identified that if I go into a terminal (also as root) enter xte, then... str "abc(a)def" the output is abcqdef I can't discover where the appropriate keymapping is set up. echo $LANG returns en_GB.UTF-8 on both PCs.
