(97, XP, 2000, 2007 etc) Retail Office package, OEM version that came with the computer or a "free" trial that was included with a computer to "sell" the Office Suite? Installation media on CD or DVD? If multiple discs were included, which disc were you prompted to insert before getting the error message? Have you checked on the other disks? Have you searched for the file using part of the file name and wild card characters (like * or ?)? There have been cases where compressed versions of files were distributed in compressed form with the last few characters of the file name changed. Have you asked in any of the Office specific forums on this site like ....office.setup or ...office.misc ?
