When I click the magnifying glass icon and drag it over an area of my figure, the area displayed zooms as expected.

However, when I try to repeat this motion to zoom further in, something strange happens. At the first click, the axes resets to the original view. I can still drag the box out, and then the area displayed zooms to whatever I have selected now. The problem is that I can never zoom very far in this way, because I always start from completely zoomed out. One pixel can make a big difference when I'm working with unrefined data and haven't got the orders of magnitude figured out yet.

This could be the intended functionality, but I would prefer that I can keep zooming in to individual data points, if necessary. Is there a setting for this somewhere? I remember it being the way I want it in previous versions. (I've just upgraded to 2010, but I had the same issue before the upgrade too.)
