There can't be many physicists whose job involves travelling to the
bottom of a deep mine shaft wearing a day-glo jacket and a hard hat, and
then trying to coax a bespoke detector into spotting something - without
even knowing what it might be.

But that's exactly the task for researchers at the Boulby Underground
Laboratory in the north-east of England as they search for dark matter -
the invisible and so far elusive substance that is believed to make up
more than 80% of the mass in the universe.

Quantum foam is dark matter.You can't see it because it is Plank length in
diameter. It has intrinsic mass. It is a superconducting superfluid that
consists of bubbles that are touching and of the same diameter.and they are
pulsing in and out, and since that is lateral motion, they have instrinsic
mass. The expansion of the universe is tugging outward on them and that is
why they pulse in and out. When they pulse, they give off a wave of energy.
Thats dark energy.
