From: Shay on 28 Feb 2010 03:04 Hi I have SBS 2008 with 2 nics. When I configure it for Teaming that 2 nic will shown as one, the internet configuration failed, it cannot see the ip of the nic and the ip of the router. If I configure it as one nic its ok. The server is HP Proliant ML350 G6. Any idea? Than'x Shay __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4901 (20100227) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
From: Larry Struckmeyer[SBS-MVP] on 28 Feb 2010 08:35 Hi Shay: You will have to drop off the second nic to run the wizards. Drop off as in disable. Once the wizards have been run, you can re team, but I am not sure what benefit, if any, there is in a SBS environment, from this. - Larry Please post the resolution to your issue so others may benefit - Get Your SBS Health Check at www.sbsbpa.com > Hi > > I have SBS 2008 with 2 nics. From: Charlie Russel - MVP on 28 Feb 2010 11:10 As Larry says, you need to disable the second NIC before running any SBS Wizards. NIC teaming is not supported, and doesn't behave well with the wizards, IME. You can re-enable the second NIC and teaming after the wizard has run, but again, I'm not at all sure what benefit you'll gain from it. There are good reasons for a second NIC in SBS 2008, and I wish it handled it better, but it is what it is and the only solution is to disable that second NIC when you need to run a wizard. And there are some things that _only_ the SBS wizards will resolve. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/russel "Shay" <shay(a)telecode.co.il> wrote in message news:%23tNm9yEuKHA.1796(a)TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Hi > > I have SBS 2008 with 2 nics.
