I for one, dont know what a '3D image using DirectX' means.
Maybe if you posted links to help other CSSMer's understand better what it
is that you are trying to read you might get some pointers.

Is it this: http://local.wasp.uwa.edu.au/~pbourke/dataformats/directx/ ?
(I couldnt find a reader for this either)
