Searching through Windows... Hey folks! Back with some of the old Windows OSes, if I wanted to find all my temporary files, all I had to do was open up my C: drive and search for "*.tmp" I've tried doing this in Windows 7 Pro, but it says it's not finding anything, which I find completely hard to believe, of course. Windows 7 puts a lock icon on new files. I just installed a new hard drive and installed windows 7 64 bit on it. I copied the settings from the old hard drive to the new. Now when I down load a file it shows a lock icon on the file. When I take it to another location like the desktop the lock goes away.
